Stem Cell Banking

Stem cells activate the body’s natural healing, aiding in regenerative medicine and treating conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and Parkinson’s. They also speed up recovery from injuries and enhance anti-aging, hair restoration, and body sculpting treatments.

We’ve partnered with L2 Bio to offer advanced stem cell banking, expanding our services for even better results. This is how we bring stem cell therapy to Allure Wellness.

What Is Stem Cell Banking?

Stem cell banking is the process of collecting stem cells from a patient, processing them to separate them from the rest of the blood, and then storing them for use in future therapies or medical procedures.

How Does Stem Cell Banking Work?

Stem cells are unspecialized cells that are uniquely able to replenish and reconstruct into several different tissue types. At Allure Wellness, we streamline the process of stem cell banking by collecting fat cells usually from the abdomen through a small incisions.

Stem cells can be stored and used for later use for anti-aging treatments, gene therapy, and medical conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, ALS, spinal cord injuries, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, sickle cell, anemia, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, joint pain, type 1 diabetes, and kidney failure. Your cells can also be used for your parents, siblings, and children if they need them. The harvested fat cells are processed to isolate the healthy stem cells from the surrounding fat tissue. After this procedure, L2 Bio will store the cells in cryopreservation for future recovery and implementation.

Because the number of viable stem cell stores depletes naturally as we age, it can be especially helpful to bank them for applications in the future. These cells can be used to specifically target signs of aging and help you achieve the contoured body you’ve been desiring. Our providers can re-inject the harvested cells in areas where a patient wishes to see more volume.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

This versatile treatment addresses both cosmetic and medical concerns, offering a comprehensive approach to rejuvenation and recovery.

When re-injecting processed stem cells, several areas of the body can be targeted for aesthetic and therapeutic improvements. These cells can be injected similarly to other injectables, with application in facial areas such as under the eyes, in the cheeks, and around the lips to enhance volume and restore a youthful appearance. Beyond the face, stem cells can be used to improve laxity and suppleness in areas such as the breasts, buttocks, hands, and knees.

In addition to aesthetic enhancements, stem cells can be applied to areas affected by injuries or chronic conditions, including joints, muscles, and soft tissues, to support healing, reduce inflammation, and improve functionality.

What Are the Benefits?

Stem cells have a wide array of positive effects when used in modalities for skin rejuvenation and body revitalization. The procedures are generally non-surgical and minimally invasive.

Low Risk for Rejection

Because the cells used for re-injection are from your own body, there is a very low risk for rejection or complications.

Natural Healing Processes

Stem cells stimulate your body’s natural healing processes and production of fibroblasts which are critical for wound healing.

Low Recovery Time

The treatments that apply stem cells for aesthetic purposes are minimally invasive which allows for faster healing and quicker recovery.

Boosts Collagen and Elastin

The process of disturbing fibroblasts with stem cell re-injection signals the body to produce new collagen and elastin cells to assist in the healing process. This increase in essential proteins aids in filling fine lines and wrinkles and restoring natural suppleness to the face and body.

Storage for the Future

Stem cells that are harvested when a patient is younger can be stored until there is a need for them in the future. They can survive in cryopreservation for up to 12 years.

If you are looking for a more natural way to improve the suppleness or volume of certain areas of your face and body, it’s time to consider banking your stem cells for face and body rejuvenation.

Real Results

Stem Cell Banking At A Glance

Procedure Time

Performing BeautiFill Laser Liposuction to store stem cells typically takes 1-3 hours.

Recovery Time & Side Effects

Most stem cell collection and fat transfer processes only cause minimal bruising and swelling. These side effects resolve within a few days and normal activities can typically be resumed within that timeframe. To speed up the process, we strongly recommend lymphatic massages.

Areas Treated

Breasts, buttocks, inner thighs, knees, cheeks, chin/jowls, neckline, forehead, and other facial regions.

Your Stem Cell Banking Experience at Allure Wellness

BeautiFill Laser Liposuction

To collect stem cells from fat tissues, Allure Wellness uses a process called BeautiFill Laser Liposuction. This procedure extracts fat from a patient using a thin laser to reduce the excess volume in undesired areas.

Cell Collection Process

The BeautiFill process uses a Mercedes cannula with suction to collect largely intact fat cells as the laser liquefies them. The cells collected must then be processed with enzymes to release the stem cells. The remaining viable cells are then centrifuged to separate the adipose-derived stem cells from the blood and impurities. The stem cells are then cultured in a lab to encourage multiplication for more viable cells.

Stem Cell Cryopreservation

After purifying and expanding the cells, they are frozen slowly using liquid nitrogen. This cryogenic preservation process stops the cells from metabolizing, preserving them in their current state and prohibiting breakdown. A protective agent is also applied to maintain viability and functionality for future applications. These cells are then sent to L2 Bio to be stored for up to several years, or until the patient desires to use them.

Recovery

The downtime from BeautiFill Laser Liposuction is typically around 2 to 3 days because it is a minimally invasive procedure that usually only causes mild bruising and swelling. We strongly recommend lymphatic massages during the recovery period as they help to shorten the time.

Future Application of Stem Cells

Stem cells are more prevalent when we are younger, so it is beneficial to harvest and store them during these years—even if you don’t plan to use them immediately.

Cosmetic Purposes

As we age, our cells do not regenerate as quickly and our collagen and elastin levels begin decreasing, causing us to start noticing signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. At this point, it may be an ideal time to retrieve your stem cells from storage and ask your doctor to schedule you for re-injection. You can apply them to improve areas like cheeks, chin, forehead, lips, and even breasts or buttocks.

Medical Treatments

Stem cells can also be used in life-saving and other medical treatments for you and your immediate family members. Applications include regenerating damaged tissues, treating orthopedic injuries, promoting skin rejuvenation, and supporting hair restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Many people choose to have their baby’s stem cells (from umbilical cord blood) banked in case the child experiences future health problems that the stem cells could help cure. However, further developments in stem cell therapy have shown that adults can collect stem cells from adipose fat tissue. Banking the cells allows patients to properly preserve them in their most effective state to save them for future use as needed.

Yes. These stem cells are different than embryonic stem cells and are called adipose-derived stem cells. They can be retrieved through liposuction and can develop into specialized cells for various face and body applications.

At the end of your liposuction procedure, once all your cells are properly stored, the stem cell banking company provides a card with all your banking information. You can use that information to access them directly or contact your provider to arrange to retrieve them for procedural purposes.

Cryogenic preservation, or cryopreservation, is the process of using extremely cold temperatures, typically through the application of liquid nitrogen, to preserve a biological sample in its current state. This prevents the sample from going through natural decomposition or development phases so that it is properly preserved for future applications.

As we age, so do our cells. During this aging process, the exposure to damage also increases. Together, these effects decrease the renewal and proliferation of our naturally occurring stem cells, resulting in a smaller supply.

Adipose fat tissue tends to increase with age, with its highest volume occurring around middle age. Studies of women have shown that adipose-derived stem cells provide the highest yield during 30-40 years of age. It is best to bank these cells during this high-yield window because the adipose fat tissue in our bodies will decrease and degrade as we age. Then, these cells will be readily available for a patient to use as they experience that natural decline.
